CUSTOM OUTFITTERS SYDNEY is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced 4WD Accessory Fitter to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around 4WDs, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys being part of a professional workshop environment.

This position would suit an experienced accessory fitter looking to take the next step in their career, whether that’s expanding their knowledge, getting more involved with customers and sales, or becoming part of some seriously impressive 4WD builds.

You’ll play an important role across both the workshop and customer experience. From understanding what a customer wants to achieve with their vehicle, through to recommending the right setup and completing the installation, you’ll be involved from start to finish.

At CUSTOM OUTFITTERS SYDNEY, we work on everything from everyday touring setups through to complete custom 4WD builds.

Key Responsibilities

Fit 4WD accessories and equipment to customer vehicles to a high professional standard
Complete installations carefully, efficiently and with strong attention to detail
Speak with customers to understand their vehicle, intended use and build goals
Use your practical fitment knowledge to recommend suitable products and solutions
Handle phone and counter enquiries and provide knowledgeable, reliable advice

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

Previous hands-on 4WD accessory fitting experience
Strong mechanical knowledge and a good understanding of 4WD vehicles
Experience fitting accessories such as bull bars, suspension, lighting, electrical accessories, roof racks, underbody protection, recovery equipment and touring accessories
A genuine passion for 4WDs, vehicle builds and the outdoor lifestyle
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Retail or sales experience is an advantage
MomentumPro experience is highly regarded

Key Responsibilities:

Install a wide range of premium 4WD aftermarket accessories, delivering quality fitments that exceed customer expectations.
Install products including bull bars, winches, suspension, snorkels, lighting, exhaust systems, side steps and other 4WD accessories.
Adhere to workshop WHS and SOP procedures to keep our environment safe and efficient.
Complete all installations accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Engage in various workshop duties, keeping our workspace clean, tidy and organised.
Maintain and look after our workshop tools and equipment with pride.
Work collaboratively with the sales and workshop team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time.
Take pride in every vehicle that leaves the Custom Outfitters Australia workshop.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience and/or qualifications in a mechanical, auto electrical, automotive or panel beating role is highly desirable.
Previous experience in 4WD accessory fitting will be highly regarded.
Strong safety mindset with a current Australian driver’s licence.
Strong focus on ensuring all work within the workshop is completed safely and accurately.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
